Data Deletion

Request removal of your personal data from TOVA.

Self-service deletion (fastest)

The quickest way to delete your account and personal data is directly from the app:

  • Open the app → ProfileDelete my account.
  • Your personal data (name, government ID, saved routes, chat messages) is removed immediately.
  • Your ID photo is permanently deleted from our cloud storage.

If you have upcoming confirmed bookings, you must cancel them before account deletion.

Request deletion by contact

If you cannot access the app, send a message to our Grievance Officer:

Include your registered phone number. We will process your request within 48 hours and confirm by reply.

What gets deleted

Upon deletion (self-service or by request), we permanently remove:

  • Your name, government ID number, and employee details.
  • Your government ID photo from cloud storage (Cloudinary).
  • Your saved commute routes and demand registrations.
  • Your chat messages.
  • Your ratings submitted for hosts.

What is retained (legal requirement)

Certain records must be retained under Indian law:

  • Booking and payment records — retained for 3 years from the date of the ride, as required under the GST Act and applicable financial laws. Your phone number on these records is retained but your profile is anonymised to "Deleted User".
  • Consent logs — retained as proof of your agreement to our Terms and Privacy Policy.
  • Razorpay transaction records — retained by Razorpay per their own data retention policy.

Download your data first

Before deleting, you may wish to download all personal data TOVA holds about you. This is your right under the DPDP Act 2023.

Contact us at marshbarks.services@gmail.com with subject "Data Export Request" and we will send you a full export within 48 hours. Alternatively, use the GET /rider/my-data API endpoint if you are a developer.
